First on the agenda is а walk around Rethymno. This city, which is very often printed on postcards from different angles, seems to be specially designed for panoramic masterpiece shots. You won't even find any other place in Crete where do so many architectural styles meet. Rethymno beats them all by 100 points. At first it can confuse someone: all these beautiful narrow streets with the tables roamed around and all Greek relatives from one family up to the seventh generation on the porch. But don’t hesitate to get your photo gun and get shots that don't need filters by default. If you go deeper into the city to Kalithea area, you get a bonus - a panoramic view of Rethymno from a high point.
The next location for your instagram photos is the Kotsifou Gorge with its special nature. It is cradle of two elements - earth and air. The gorge is beautiful - there are mystical narrow passages under the rocks hanging overhead covered with bright green trees foliage which suddenly turn into the miniature plateau up to 600 metres wide. The cherry on the top of this route is the Church of St Nicholas, which is cleverly built into the rocks grotto. This beautiful small church is so quiet and always open to visitors.
Well, it's time for us to dive into the next element of water! Let's head to the unique beach situated at the Calypso Hotel, which stands like a hermit near the village of Plakias. Apart from the fact that everyone knows it as a place of pilgrimage for Cretan divers (it’s very convenient to stay at this hotel and learn scuba diving in the sea right from the beach), it is also one of the most picturesque rocky beaches. At this remote place one can feel like he steps on a path to nowhere. Here you can click your camera shutter until the sun fully sets below the horizon without waiting for your turn amidst the endless stream of tourists.
